Such a beautifully written story. The whole story pleased me the whole way through and made me want to be a little girl again. Bought back memories of how it felt to be a small child with a great imagination and the thrill of adventure. Also a wonderful story of unconditional love which holds you throughout the whole book. Must admit I did also shed a few tears or should I say cried buckets. Would love to read more. Fantastic.
" Julia and the hunt for the magical, mysterious Buttlefly" is a fairytale for adults who want to be a child again, because the writer Francis d. manages, with his very evocative and visual language, to lead the readers back to their own childhood's magical world. When the girl Julia along with her dog Alphonse setting off on another one of their trips, hunting for yet another grand adventure, one becomes immediately infected by Julia's sense of experiencing the world. Every second feels like a big, magical NOW of opportunities. It applies only to see it with the right eyes and with the right heart. Slowly a sense of darkness sneaks into the story that leads the reader, with a beating heart, to the surprising and poignant ending....read it!

This story packs huge emotional weight. The world created is enchanting, the characters mystical and the pathos heartbreaking. In common with many friends who have read this book, I shed an unexpected tear. I hope the writer has more stories to tell.

A short novella, but a story with a big heart, this took me completely by surprise - a both magical and moving adventure. The story of Julia and her friend, the St. Bernard dog Alphonse who go on a quest to find the mysterious 'buttlefly' is as much about friendship and loss and coming of age, as it's about following your heart and trust your instinct - even if it's to chase the stars or creatures that not everybody believes in. Beautifully written, this is more than definitely worth a read!

”A magical touching tale about love and loyalty about curiosity and bravery. It has it all sweetness, eeriness, challenges, surprises and heroic actions that overwhelms and lifts the fairy tale into the heart of the reader.”
